Go Gopher Amigurumi - LOW-SEW
Free Crochet Pattern
Sometimes, you just gotta 'Go' at it again.
Wazzuuuup Crochet Crew?
This is a reworked version of my original Golang Gopher Pattern that I released around a year ago. Since I was still at the beginning of my crochet & Amigurumi journey at the time, I feel like I did not do the iconic lil’ fella justice bringing him into crochet form. That’s why I went at it again and tried to use my new skill set to improve on the original version. And man, what a difference a year makes! I feel like I managed to capture the essence and charm of the Go Gopher a LOT better this time around. As a bonus, I was able to use my Amigurumi design experience to transform it into a low-sew pattern. Also you have the choice between 2 different sizes of Gopher Amigurumi (or the benefit of just doing 2 different size Gophers). And no worries, this Go Gopher crochet pattern is still free, of course.
If you are generally interested in software and development as well (which I somehow assume with you landing on this pattern), check out my blog - original.flipster.
The Go gopher has originally been designed by Renee French. (http://reneefrench.blogspot.com/) The design is licensed under the Creative Commons 3.0 Attributions license.

Assembly
- Put safety eyes into the crocheted eyes and sew them to the front of the head 2-3 stitches apart. You do not necessarily have to stuff the eyes, for me it was sufficient to wind the start tail of the eye around the shaft of the eye. In any case avoid overstuffing!
- First, attach the Muzzle to the center of the Gopher face (right below the eyes) with the 2 tails. Do NOT sew around but only thread the tails through the body to keep it in place.
- Embroider a nose with black yarn on the top edge of the muzzle, going through both, the muzzle and the body itself.
- Embroider 1 or 2 teeth starting at the lower edge of the muzzle. I recommend a single tooth for the small Gopher and 2 for the bigger version. Again, go through both, the muzzle and the body to finally secure the position of the muzzle.
Congrats, you’re done! 💯
