The Pattern

Arms

(make 2 arms for a single Bugdroid Robot)

/free-patterns/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi-arms.webp

- Use Green color -

R1)MR + 6sc(6)
R2)[sc, inc] x3(9)
R3 - 4)9sc for 2 rounds(9)
R5)inc, 3sc, dec, 3sc(9)
R6)4sc, dec, 3sc(8)
R7)inc, 2sc, dec, 2sc, BLO sc(8)
R8)BLO inc, 2sc, dec, 2sc, BLO sc(8)
R9)BLO 2sc, dec, 2sc, dec(6)

- Stuff the arms -

Finish off, close the opening and hide the yarn tails inside.

Antennas

(make 2 antennas for a single Bugdroid Robot)

/free-patterns/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi-antenna.webp

- Use Green color -

R1)4fsc(4)
R2)4slst between a single loop of the ch and sc each to give it a round, cylindrical shape(4)

Finish off and leave the end tail and the tail from the beginning for attaching to the head later.

Legs

(make 2 legs for a single Bugdroid Robot)

/free-patterns/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi-legs.webp

- Use Green color -

R1)MR + 6sc(6)
R2)6inc(12)
R3)BLO 12sc(12)
R4 - 6)12sc for 3 rounds(12)
R7)8slst, 4hdc(12)

- Stuff the legs -

Finish off and leave a bit of a tail (enough to crochet 8 more sc later on).

Body & Head

- Use Green color -

This first part is worked in Rows, so chain 1 and turn at the end of every row.

R1)ch 6(6)
R2)dec, 2sc, dec(4)
R3)2dec(2)
R4)dec,(1)
R5 - 6)sc for 2 rows(1)
R7)inc,(2)
R8)2inc(4)
R9)inc, sc, sc, inc,(6)

Do NOT finish off here, but rather secure your current loop with a stitch marker, while we go attaching the legs.

/free-patterns/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi-body-part-1.webp

Now, take the legs, attach them to a corner of the body part so far with a slst and then sc along the curved side through both, the backloop of the slst (Legs R7) and the body part. After 8sc per side finish off the legs and their tails once and for all and secure the ends.

You should now have a single part of body including both legs that looks like this:

/free-patterns/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi/bugdroid-robot-amigurumi-legs-attached.webp

From here, onward, we continue in rounds, so no need to chain and turn at the end of the rounds anymore. Your hook should be where the first body part and a leg meet, with the stitches ahead going into the body part, not the legs. Otherwise adjust R10 accordingly, as the normal sc should go into the body part and the FLO part with the increases into both of the legs.

R10)[6sc, FLO: inc, 2sc, inc] x2(24)
R11)[3sc, inc] x6(30)
R12)30sc(30)
R13)[2sc, inc, 2sc] x6(36)
R14 - 17)36sc for 5 rounds(36)
R18 - 19)36sc, at the left- and rightmost part, attach the arm by going through the leftover front loops(36)
R19)36sc(36)
R20)BLO [2sc, dec, 2sc] x6(30)

- change to Black color -

R22)FLO 30slst(30)

- change to Green color -

R23)BLO [sc, inc, 2sc, inc] x6(42)
R24)BLO 42sc(42)

- Start stuffing the body and continue stuffing as you go along -

R25)[5sc, dec] x6(36)
R26)36sc(36)
R27)[2sc, dec, 2sc] x6(30)

- Put safety eyes between round 25 & 26 around 8 stitches apart from each other. -

R28)[3sc, dec] x6(24)
R29)[sc, dec, sc] x6(18)

- Attach the Antennas between Rounds 28 & 29 by threading through adjacent stitches and tying a tight knot on the inside. -

R30)[sc, dec] x6(12)
R31)6dec(6)

Add the last stuffing until the head has a nice shape. Then, finish off, close the opening in the top and hide the leftover yarn tail inside.

Assembly

There is nothing to assemble, as I went the extra mile to make this pattern no-sew for y’all. Just wanted to give ya a lil’ heart attack (me snitch). ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ˜ฝ
