Get ready to geek around with your yarn out! I’m super proud to present y’all my latest no-sew crochet pattern for the ultimate nerd icon, the mascot of my favorite smartphone operating system (can you possibly guess what that could be), also lovingly known as the Bugdroid. This little green robot is already super psyched to be sighted in your home, coming into existence one stitch at a time. Still not sold? This pattern is a 100% no-sew, so loose all your needles, you ain’t gonna need ’em today! Just pure, relaxing crocheting bliss is what I got in store for you. β¨οΈ
Final part of the pitch: this one again is totally free, it costs nada, nichts, zero, in numbers 0. So, what are you waitin’ for still? Grab your crochet hook, channel your inner nerd and bring some quirky, bug-eyed fun to your Amigurumi collection! The age of the cute lil’ (and green) robots starts now!
You want to dive even deeper into the tech side of things and find out about the Software industry and its… let’s call ’em “perks”? Check out my other digital crib and learn some about software development or just enjoy reading about me having tantrums. That one is heavier on the nerd stuff, but nothing less spicy, I promise. π€π½

R3) | 2dec | (2) |
R4) | dec, | (1) |

Do NOT fasten off here just yet, but rather secure your current loop with a stitch marker, while we go ahead attaching the legs.
Now, take the legs, attach them to a corner of the body part with a slst and then sc along the curved side through both, the back loop of the slst (Legs R7) and the body part. After 8sc on each side, fasten off the legs and their tails once and for all and secure the ends.
You should now have a single part of body including both legs that looks like this:
From here onward, we continue in rounds, so no need to chain and turn at the end of the rounds anymore. Your hook should be where the first body part and a leg meet, with the stitches ahead going into the body part, not the legs. Otherwise adjust R10 accordingly so that the normal sc should go into the body part and the FLO part with the increases into both of the legs.
R10) | [6sc, FLO: inc, 2sc, inc] x2 | (24) |
R11) | [3sc, inc] x6 | (30) |
R12) | 30sc | (30) |
R13) | [2sc, inc, 2sc] x6 | (36) |
R14 - 17) | 36sc for 5 rounds | (36) |
R18 - 19) | 36sc, at the left- and rightmost part, attach the arm by going through the leftover front loops | (36) |
R19) | 36sc | (36) |
R20) | BLO [2sc, dec, 2sc] x6 | (30) |
- change to Black color -
R22) | FLO 30slst | (30) |
- change to Green color -
R23) | BLO [sc, inc, 2sc, inc] x6 | (42) |
R24) | BLO 42sc | (42) |
- Start stuffing the body and continue stuffing as you go along -
R25) | [5sc, dec] x6 | (36) |
R26) | 36sc | (36) |
R27) | [2sc, dec, 2sc] x6 | (30) |
- Put safety eyes between Rounds 25 & 26 around 8 stitches apart from each other. -
R28) | [3sc, dec] x6 | (24) |
R29) | [sc, dec, sc] x6 | (18) |
- Attach the Antennas between Rounds 28 & 29 by threading through adjacent stitches and tying a tight knot on the inside. -
R30) | [sc, dec] x6 | (12) |
R31) | 6dec | (6) |
Add some more final stuffing and distribute it throughout the head until it has a nice shape. Then, fasten off, close the opening in the top and hide the leftover yarn tail inside using a tapestry needle.
